What’s in miamoo?
We dont use any of the following in any of our products:
- Parabens
- Petrochemicals
- Sodium Lauryl Sulphate
- Synthetic Colour/Frangrance
- PEGS
We’re on a mission to make sure our consumers really understand what they’re putting on their skin and their baby’s skin. That’s why we tell you which of our ingredients are natural and which are naturally derived. Lots of other skincare companies gloss over this, calling everything natural. But we’re not going to lie to you and we’ve been brought up to tell the truth so we want to set the record straight!
Whenever we can, we cram as many natural ingredients into our products as humanly possible. Sometimes, in the quest to make sure our products really do nurture and protect delicate skin, we have to give Mother Nature a bit of a helping hand. So that’s when we call on Allan, our chemist to “tweak” a natural ingredient before it goes into our bottles and that’s how you end up with a naturally derived ingredient.
Why do we use a few synthetic ingredients?
Miamoo only uses synthetic ingredients when it’s absolutely necessary to create a safe, stable product. Preservation is important in all products especially baby products, so while there are no parabens in our products we didn’t want to compromise on safety. The preservative system we use is called “Preservative K”It’s mostly made from phenoxyethanol, and benzyl alcohol with a dash of ethylhexyl glycerine, potassium sorbate, and sodium benzoate thrown in to make it even more effective at busting mould and bacteria. It’s the gentlest preservative system we could find and it’s known as the most natural one too, despite the long scary names. We use it in teeny weeny amounts to make miamoo products microbiologically safe.
